Investigation into sexual blackmail of Somali women

I worked with Jamal Osman on this investigation into the sexual exploitation of Somali women, who’ve been filmed while being assaulted and then blackmailed and shamed online. The abuse videos are shared and even sold on private message groups on whatsapp and telegram with thousands of members, creating a financial incentive for further abuse.

My involvement in this story began after filming was concluded: I storyboarded and scripted this story as well as conducting further research into the operation of the message threads where the videos are shared and sometimes sold.
